Greetings Denis,
I have some rather lengthy free-form notes. Can you please advise me as to the maximum length for a free-form note card?
thanks!

Hello Robert. The answer is complicated:
On the server, a non-encrypted card can be up to about 3800 characters long. Encryption takes extra space and so a card can be only up to 2500 characters long. These restrictions only exist on the web site and do not exist on the iPhone/iTouch.
Such discrepancy makes it hard to plan around and is an oversight on our part for which I apologize. The Memengo Wallet app was planned as a a storage for passwords and other small secrets, we did not anticipate people storing larger blocks of text. We'll have to think more about this.
Thanks for your questions!
I just make the free form notes smaller. I specifically chose Memengo to keep password info because it allows free form text. I have too many passwords to have to individually enter them all. It is much faster to change and search using a plain text file….tom
Thanks for chiming in, Tom. I'll kep your scenario in mind.
If there are others who are impacted by card length limit please speak up and bring the details!
Same thing here. I use "Little Secrets" to keep passwords encrypted on my mac. Copy/Paste into a free form card and I'm updated. Except that the file is 7KB long, encrypted, so I have to split it into sublists. Not quite so easy. Quite a pain guessing where the split points belong and naming the sub-files A-G, H-L, etc. The file is just an alphabetized list of sites, each with site name, account name and password.
In fact, the free-form note card is the only kind I use, as I'm quite accustomed to using a text editor to keep lists.
Anyway, unlimited size would be much easier.
Thanks, SW
