I broke my contract for my iphone's to get a service provider that works (ATT doesn't). I will receive my three Android X's in a couple of weeks. Hoping I made the right decision since I have been a "Mac-Man" for over 20 years and still use a Macbook Pro (I just had to have a service provider that worked). I was checking out the Market apps before I received my droids and have found out that Memengo Wallet is not available …. (:<) Please …… Memengo fo Android X.

You can sync any number of devices to the same memengo.com account and all data and changes will propagate to each device every time you sync.

I suggest syncing from iPad to memengo.com again, and make sure that you typed in exactly the same email address - open iPad and iPhone side by side and check the spelling. Also, after sync, make sure to examine all Wallets on the iPad. If it still doesn't work please contact support.

I have been using Memengo Wallet since the beginning on my iPhone and am a big supporter, bringing many people into the Memengo fold. I have purchased an iPad and I want to access my accumulated data on my iPad while always having the same data on my iPhone. I loaded the app to my iPad and synched. No joy. There was all new empty data folders. I think I also tried to "Restore from Backup" but I am not certain. Now, I do not want to experiment for fear of losing my data. I am thinking of doing the following: (1) normal synch to iTunes from iPhone (iPhone has up-to-date data as does website); (2) normal synch from iPad to iTunes and then (3) Restore from Backup to iPad. Does this sound good? Any better way to reduce risk of data loss? Also, I noticed that website has two wallets "My Wallet" and "The Wallet." "My Wallet" is empty. "The Wallet" has all of my data.

Hi Tom. iOS4 broke the funcitonality, and I can't find time to find a fix. Sorry.

As a workaround, please try using copy-paste. You don't need to start editing the password to make a copy - simply press a finger over the field for one second and you will be given a choice to copy into clipboard or to append. You can then take this to Safari and paste the password that way.

Is there a way to change the form template for an existing card? In other words, if you create a card as a "Web Site Login" and then determine later that you should have entered it as a "Bank or Trading Account", can you easily do this without having to create a new card and type all the info over again?

I have to chime in here as well. I've been using Android since the Moto Droid released. My Verizon account now holds 1 Droid, 1 Incredible and 2 Eris's. I'm a definite long-time tech and mobile maniac and I've not seen anything with this sort of potential in a good many years (to be honest, not since the iphone). I know you're coming to realize the potential of the platform and that your time and resources are in short supply, but I'm no stranger to business and I can say that if I were an investor (alas, I'm not) I would be looking at the up and coming Android app market as a good place to make some money.

I enthusiastically vote for an Android version of your application as well. And thanks for the good work, it's appreciated.

Thanks for the passionate post Pat. I have recently grown to accept Android as a worthy platform, however I'm facing a lot of demand for my other products and I have only so much time. I plan to return to Wallet and make a web-based universal version (however preserving all benefits such as speedy UI and offline access), though this will not be soon I guess and I wouldn't advise waiting for it.

Hi Denis,

I just discovered this forum tonight especially after using Wallet for many months up until May, when I switched to the Incredible (Android). The Android OS with the 1 Gig processor is far superior to the Iphone. As I migrated most of my apps, I thought I would search for a Wallet equivalent - guess what - no such app. There are many apps with similar functionality. But the truth is nothing compares. So, like others I have been patiently waiting for the Android Wallet release. You truly have an awesome product and if available today, no other Android app would compare giving you the edge in the market. Furthermore, an Android version would complete the popular mobile operating systems (Android, Iphone, and MS Mobile) - a great accomplishment.

While you may believe that the returns are not there, I disagree if marketed properly. This is especially true when Wallet is compared to the other inferior products. Like other posts, I am willing to pay for the app, up to $20 - I like it that much. I would not however implement a monthly subscription usage at this time in light of the economy. Perhaps this is something to consider in the future, but for now, the timing is not right.

My advice is to take advantage of the Android market - it is growing exponentially. By designing a good app, as you have with Wallet, this enhances your visibility as a reputable developer and indirectly promotes other products and software you may have to offer. Microsoft certainly did not become who they are today by simply focusing on one product. Why limit yourself?

Furthermore, my advice to you is to give consideration to your customers. Your product obviously has a following as evidenced by these posts. Please do not disregard their loyalty to your product. A key fundamental business philosophy "Keep the customer Happy", in my opinion, is a vital factor for success.

I hope I made a compelling case for you to consider elevating the Android Wallet to a higher priority than an on-the-side project. Thanks for your consideration.

Pat

Are their any plans to release an iPad version of Wallet?

Also, (on iPad's Safari) the web page will not scroll in the left pane (folders) section. Any plans to correct this? I even tried the new A1 Perfect Web Browser which supposedly will render pages in many different formats (ie firefox, IE, Safari, Opera, etc) but I could not get the scroll bar in the left pane window there either.

I have a suggestion regarding this. I think it would be environmentally advantageous to change the print set-up so that more cards can be printed per page. The current set-up just prints each card vertically down the right hand side of the page. It seems that a lot less paper would be used if it were to print "two up" and use at least two cards horizontally.

To sum up my general view on this:

The idea is that you would use a trusted computer (at home) to do bulk of the editing, trusted phone when out and about, and an alien computer only when pressed against the wall by extraordinary circumstances. Using alien computer is generally unsafe, token or no token, and you should always use the phone if at all possible.

I have assumed that you wanted to use token on alien computer, but now that I look at your post again it seems that you could have been asking for a different thing - using the token on a home computer to beef up its security. Is this the accurate reading of your proposal?
